session 38
Coquihalla Valley Railway
Crew members on duty 15 September 1955
Due to startup considerations – photography during the session was rather
erratic. if other participants have some photos to share, I would be happy to
include them in this record. [Thanks Bill D.]
Thanks to Brian F. for Volunteering to dispatch.
Several crews returned to terminal “Just In Time” fortunately nobody was left
out on the road or bunking in the Merritt hotel.
Simple water with ice was a much more popular drink than cold canned pop
on this warm fall afternoon.
Reducing the train length on trains on the Merritt Sub from twelve to nine
cars enabled the crews to complete their work in a timely manner and to
maintain the schedule.
Thanks to Bryn for demonstrating an alternative technique for managing
Brookmere yard.
Thanks to the home crew who have helped to make this session possible both
during the preparation time and on the day of operations.
